About us

The essence of all beautiful and great art is Gratitude.

Wing throws light on the connection between art and spirituality and other associated present-day facts.

Art & Culture Wing, as a branch of Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, which has been active since 1936 for the establishment of a happy and peaceful global society on the basis of the concept Vasudheiv Kutumbakam and divine knowledge, is fulfilling its pure objective by inspiring the artist class to adopt the path of spirituality. Is tirelessly doing the service of making partners in achieving. Through various events, the division gives the message to the artist class and the general public that only the presentations on stage through dance, drama, songs, music, cinema or pictures are not called art, because these presentations can only entertain the general public or you can entertain them for some time.

Real art is that which, based on divinity, nurtures the qualities of pure thoughts, captivating speech, purity of mind, humility in conduct, hard work, cooperation, discretion etc. in its own personality and inspires others to become like that. This actual work of learning and teaching art is done by the Art & Culture Wing.

When people come to me, then what do they say? They say that we don’t have time to spare for meditation, we are very busy in our work day and night, how can we change our self. I simply ask them - do you have time to drink water in a day? How many times do you drink water in a day? 5 times…7 times…8 times…? You take out time for that even you are very busy. So, when you drink water, it will take at least one minute. This one minute of your day is the time to check and change yourself. If there are some waste thoughts going in your mind then in that one-minute check your mind and change it. Convert that waste thoughts into positive thoughts. In this way, if you drink water 7 times a day then you get 7 minutes for yourself to check and change. It is an art to take out time from your busy schedule and change your thoughts in one minute. This is called easy Raja Yoga meditation.

Artists have the power to shape the future. Just as people worship deities, today’s society often reveres actors and artists. Therefore, it is crucial for artists to infuse their lives with a sense of divinity. Rajyoga, which teaches the art of living, offers valuable guidance in this regard.
The Art and Culture Wing has ignited a transformative movement, encouraging artists to integrate spirituality into their work. This fusion is fostering the creation of inspiring and thought-provoking art that promotes empathy and kindness. By embracing spirituality, artists are unlocking new creative potential, facilitating personal growth, and potentially making a profound and lasting impact on the world.

Essential Spirituality

Life looks different when viewed from a spiritual perspective. Those with spiritual awareness recognize alternatives to negative patterns and learn to understand and apply them. In this section Sister Jayanti shows how a spiritual perspective transforms our inner state from fear to dignity, from anxiety to courage, from sorrow to fulfillment and from anger to peace.

Spirituality remains a concept and a philosophy until I make it personal. How do I become more spiritual? Not just in knowing about it, but in living it practically such that my life reflects the values that are innate in the self. In this section Sister Jayanti takes us to the heart of spiritual study and practice: the self, God, karma and practice.

From thinking to doing, there may be a gap. It’s easy to think big thoughts, but hard to make them real. How does my inner spiritual progress affect my expression in relationships and in the situations that characterise our times? Spiritual practice allows you to build spiritual capacity and serve others. In this section, Sister Jayanti talks about “applied spirituality”: forgiveness, caring and contribution.
